SKILLED TRADES SKILLS LEARNED IN FIRST

FIRST program participants are uniquely positioned to gain exposure to a variety of career paths while developing skills that are recognized as part of trades Skills Standards. It is important to know that many of the skills developed by FIRST students are actual industry standard skills required to earn an apprenticeship. FIRST Mentors bring their expertise to collaborative problem solving scenarios working alongside students to design and build solutions to complex challenges. Throughout the FIRST journey, students benefit by developing specific skills that are common in the skilled trades and apprenticeship industry. FIRST as an organization is supported by important partnerships which lead to future careers for FIRST alumni.
